This was my mothers favorite. Shumway sold it until their last change in ownership. This is a very good open pollinated sweet corn. A smaller ear than Stowell's Evergreen, but in my opinion much better flavor. Like all open pollinated sweet corns it has a short harvest window and zero shelf. All of us old folks have the water boiling before we head to the corn patch. Harvested at the proper stage and prepared immediately it is scrumptious.
