These are not hot to me at all, very mild. The flavor is good as a frying pepper, or cooked with chicken (I like to cut into 1 inch by 0.5 inch pieces, and place over chicken breasts and bake with a little olive oil drizzled over them). This has not been a really prolific yielder for me, even planted in deep loam. Not a very large plant compared to many other peppers. Peppers are quite nice size. Color is not quite as deep green as Big Jim, but flavor is similiar, although a bit more intense but not quite as much heat (which is minimal in either). The peppers got a little more heat as the weather got hotter, but not really much heat to me. Yield was consistant but not vigourous. Plants were smaller than some other varieties. |
