This is the first eggplant I have grown with great success. I have been very late starting my seeds (6 weeks before last frost) and I still have had a great output of beautiful purple eggplants. The are never bitter and a lovely plant in the garden. They also grow well in containers. I am also impressed with the longevity of the seeds. I used 5 year old seed last year and over 75% germinated. I would highly recommend for short season gardens.
