Very similar to Early Alaska, but a shade more vigorous in the winter. Down here, we have to plant peas in the wintertime to get a crop in before the heat wipes them out. This one does well planted in early December. Flavor is typical of a smooth seeded pea and equal to Early Alaska. The vine only gets 16 to 20 inches in height, but very productive.
