In 2008, I planted 40 plants on May 25, just after the frost. The plants were about 1 foot tall and produced about 3 handful peas.
In 2009, I planted the rest of the peas in the package on April 1 and April 15. My soil's PH is 5.6. I added some lime. The plants are about 3 feet tall maybe taller with many more delicious peas. If I pick them up a little bit earlier, they are very sweet to eat fresh, or I wait to see them fully develop. Mix with some butter, microwave, so sweet. They need some suport. It takes about 2 months to produce. I think next year I can try to start March 1. I bought the seeds from www.growitalian. com. The seed germination is almost %100. |

Very tasty peas. The most productive peas I’ve planted to date. In my garden, the peas were normal sized (not 'tiny', as the catalog described). The plants did well without support. |
