I grew this for the first time this past year as a spring crop. I set them out on IRT mulch under row cover on April 22 and harvested on July 4. The heads were beautiful and it was delicious, and it surprised me that it was as successful as it was after a warmer than normal spring. My heads show a bit of slug damage (hate those buggers!) but it did not affect the taste and I will grow again.
