'Green Finger' Cucumber

Description:	Cucumis sativus. Open-pollinated. Slicing-type. Vines produce non-bitter fruit with extra-smooth, thin, tender skin and light green interior with small seed cavity. Good for greenhouse production. Disease resistant variety. Resistance to powdery mildew, papaya ringspot virus (wmv-1) watermelon mosaic virus (strain 2), and zucchini yellow mosaic virus. Bred by Cornell University. About 60 days to maturity.

The plant grew quickly and well with supports. A thin dark green fruit best picked at 5 to 7 inches; they can get rather large if not promptly picked. Crisp and juicy with a small seed cavity. An excellent slicer for salads. Yield was not record breaking, but adequate.

This variety did not grown well for us, others were much better.

Grew well, not terribly productive. Taste is OK. Got bacterial leaf spot and stopped growing.

Germinated and grew well. Productivity was adequate and if picked small were quite tasty. I really liked the thin skin. Would recommend.

This is a narrow, long cucumber with tender skin and tasty. Good yeild, though the plant itself wasn\\\\\\\'t attractive since it got blight, butr it kept producing.

Seeds planted outdoors 5/30. Strong vines until early October when started failing due to diseases. Very good yield of really tasty cucumbers from mid-July to early October.

Seeds planted 5/19. 6/5: white spots and holes noted on leaves. By 7/17, two plants viable, with one cucumber on the vine . 7/24: first harvest. 8/10: trained on trellis. 9/4: harvesting and donating. Total harvest as of 9/14: 10 1/2 lbs. Taste: crispy, juicy, mild flavor. This is not our final evaluation. Final entry 11/24.
