I also grew this pepper in 2008. In April, suddenly it was hot, above 80s, so I planted them, then it got cold, they suffered, they produced flowers very late, I got few green peppers. So before I rate it, I wanted to try this year, too. I planted them on time to a new garden. Soil mix with lots of wood ash. Then there was late frost alarm. Few plants died, the rest lost their leaves. I thought they couldn't survive. They recovered, they actually produced many very big peppers, just like bell peppers. Very blocky, thick walls. For this climate, I was not expecting these many peppers at all. Only one of them turned to red, one was about red, the others were perfectly green. Red one was pretty sweet, good taste. But I gave 4 stars, I think in better climate they make better. If your climate bad as much as mine, and if you want to call it green bell pepper (taste is still good) then grow this, otherwise, this climate is too short for this variety. I decided go with Frank's instead of this. I bought the seeds from growitalian.com, germination rate was %100. |

Excellent crop of large peppers. Peppers are sweet and thick-fleshed (like Bell Peppers). They did not ripen any faster than the Bell Peppers. I got my seeds from growitalian.com. |
