This carrot grew well in our raised bed garden even though we had a wet growing season. Dark purple on outside and has a yellow center. It was mild tasting with a sweet after taste.

Planted from seed, the lettuce took a while. Since I wasn\\\\\\\'t the person that planted, I\\\\\\\'m not sure how many seeds were used. We planted in straight compost, the beginning of the season was extremely dry and hot, then we had rain and more rain. The lettuce survived.

Everything we planted in our first VVT garden started out slow. Planted the beets from seed, very hot in May and June, followed by a very wet July, August, and September. Beets finally took off, I probably let them crown too much. We didn\'t taste them. Since I didn\'t plant the seeds, I\'m not sure how many were planted. Also, I didn\'t thin them.

This carrot had a beautiful color, but not very sweet or crunchy. It was very attractive combined with the yellow and orange carrots, but lacked some of the wonderful carrot flavor. It was more decorative than tasty.

These carrots required row cover to prevent pest damage. They were slow growing and yielded smaller sized carrots. Flavor was slightly bitter.

Sown outdoors 4/8, germinated well by 4/22. Plants doing very well until eaten by a critter that somehow got into fenced garden. Resown 7/22 and germinated well by 8/12. As of late September, carrots are 3" long, purple on top half and white on bottom half. Taste nice. Will let them grow into the early winter.
