I love long of Tropea. My customers at market always like them. You can do some closer spacing on them and still get a pretty good looking onion. Many customers mistakenly think they are shallots, and I have to correct the. Flavor is good, especially roasted.

Grow pretty good and actually sold great at market despite a not very gourmet crowd. Most didn\'t get large.

These were as easy to grow as any other onion, that is to say start them early, keep them weeded and watered, and voila! Onions. They are very attractive and tasty but indeed do not store well.
