Did well for me in NE Arizona. 30# from one bunch of plants. Some mold during storage but just in outer layer so far.

I grew these white onions from seedlings in 2008, and they were all fairly uniform, nearly 1/2 half pound size. Planted at a six inch spacing they grew well from mid- May planted seedlings. But after harvest and sun drying, mould blotches began to develop on the outer skin on too many of the onions for me to recommend this variety to fellow growers.

I grew this variety from seed in fall 2005 and harvetsed the first one April-May. Super Star is a great mild onion. The size is medium to large (softball size) and the flavor is outstanding. It is not as pungent as some of the others and mild enough for children. It's not the best keeper because of its high content of water, but in CA not many onions grown are suited for long storage. I will definitely be growing this onion again this year.

Medium size, average taste, but the poorest storage onion I have planted during the past two seasons.
