This is hands down the best winter melon I've tasted. It's very sweet and productive. I grew this in an open field with sunlight from sun up to sun down with the vines growing on the support of ironwood trees. Production wise, at least 50-70 winter melons that was picked no heavier than 8 lbs as the vines couldn't have supported the melons that was to heavy. Young tender and sweet flesh. I did grow 2 Canton's up to 20 lbs, but I do prefer the under 10 lbs flesh, young and sweet. Also noted this was grown in a non home garden enviroment but in an open field. Vine span exceeded 120 ft.
