This is a novelty melon. It grows reasonably well. The melons run in the 18-22 lb class, blocky round and dull green until ripening at which which time they turn dark yellow. The vines also show yellowing. The melons have course flesh and are poor quality for eating. The melon looks like a pumpkin and does not taste a whole lot better.
