These were interesting to grow, however, I did not dry them which is their intended purpose. So I cannot comment on taste. They were easy to grow.

This variety is much more disease resistant than the open pollinated Pasilla. Large yields too. Makes a terrific chili powder- remove seeds, cut in strips and dry in the oven on low heat. Great for mole.

I tried this variety for the first time this year and will continue to grow it in the future. Much hotter that I thought it would be, but nicely surprized. Real good yield of friuts ranging in size from 6 inches long to about 10 inches. I am looking forward to making up my own dried and ground chili powder and this will make a very nice addition in the spice profile of it.
