This is an unusual Okra. It is short and very thick, could be described as a chubby okra. It has the usual 5 ridges, but is almost as wide as it is long. Took me a while to determine the optimum stage for picking. It also snaps right off the plant, no need for a knife. For eating I prefer the smooth velvet types like Emerald, but this one is a productive novelty.
