An extremely tasty and beautiful bean. In addition to being curved and green/purple speckled, they are also a flat bean. To me, they had a rich, buttery flavor. I found them to freeze reasonably well: the taste was still great, but the texture was slightly softer. They are cold tolerant and will accept an earlier planting date (April 15th for me). They were avoided by the Japanese Beetles (they liked the blue lakes), but that may have just been luck. The only negative is that woodchucks will eat them before any other bean.
