I can not say enough good things about this determinate tomatoe. I grew this in slight raised beds (railroad ties) with clear plastic in a very hot dry summer where my melon and squash crop burnt off and these Backfields just took it like a weed. I had some problem germinating, but the plants were robust and produced saucer sized slicing tomatoes. The flavor is outstanding, sort of like a more flavorful Big Boy in tomatoe and acid flavor which I did not think possible. The fruit is beautiful deep red, ripens all at once and keeps quite well on the vine or picked. This is going to be my mainline tomatoe as it is quite early and has no drawbacks of those Canuck types. I can not say enough good about it and I do believe that in areas like Ohio south that it just might start producing a second crop if watered.
