I had no trouble at all planting the elephant garlic. The bulbs were huge and I enjoyed the milder flavor. garlic can be a bit overpowering at times. i used a product called the weed free garden blanket. it is a landscaping like blanket that blocks the weeds and it has drip tape built in to easily water. it hooks right up to the garden hose. check it out! |

Wish they were not so mild, but they are the only garlic that will fully bulb up in my southern garden. |

Very easy to grow, a great companion to tomatoes. No need to re-plant as every year the small cloves from the previous year start new plants. Mild taste, very large cloves. |

If you like the milder garlic this is your garlic, though in our soil and climate it still is quite a tangy odor and taste. The large flowers in late summer ar quite attractive in the garden, and the small cloves that fall off will sometimes ensure that you have garlic where you did not plan it! |
