This is my go-to edible pod pea. It is tasty, productive, and reliable. I\'ve grown it for 4 years and never had a bad experience. I plant it and Oregon Sugar Pod II every year as well as another trial snap pea. Oregon Giant Sugar Pod Pea is the bigger of the two. The pod is not thin and straight, it curls and twists and is thicker and longer. The harvest period is short. I plant every 2-4 weeks for a continual supply. Last year I planted a 4 foot row of seeds Jan 10 and we had our first meal for two on March 2 from that planting and our last meal April 1. It produced a total of 7 2-person meals.
