This is a round white Cornell variety bred by Dr. Robert L. Plaisted, named after his mother, and released in 2001. After a decade and a half in the commercial potato growing world, it now seems to be 'taking off', especially on Prince Edward Island, Canada, where it is extensively grown. It is easy to grow and provides acceptable yields in almost all conditions. It is a mealy all purpose potato excellent for mashing and baking. It is a good keeper. One might wonder why it took so long to achieve cachet in the marketplace?
