This is my third year of growing these excellent red onions from seed. I start them inside late February or early March and transplant outside late April. Keep them weeded, and water regularly and you'll get a great crop. I don't bother to thin them, sometimes there's 3 growing in a clump, just pull out the smallest and use it during the late summer and let the other 2 grow longer. Good keeper -- cold and high humidity works best -- don't let them freeze.
