The only cucumbers to reliably produce and survive the onslaught of cucumber beetles in our garden. Great fresh, crisp flavor.

Excellent taste and yield. Extremely reliable and productive. Vines can reach over 20 ft long, and fruit is produced on just about every node. Always sweet, never bitter, even when fully mature. Likes acid soil, unlike many other cucumbers. From what I've read various places, this cultivar doesn't do well in many other areas. However, it was bred less than 100 miles from where we live, so maybe that is why it grows well for us. Good all-purpose cucumber. Good for pickles and table eating. Vigorous enough to survive disease, bugs, and slugs.

This is a tasty, crisp, mild and sweet variety. Even the large mature (they get quite big when left on the vine) fruits are good in Thai dishes. They do not produce abundantly though. The fruit that I did get (trellis grown) were healthy and tasty. I drip irrigate so powdery mildew is a rare occurence on my cukes and squash...so my plants were not affected.

Delicious, but a pretty poor producer- and very susceptible to powdery mildew.

Not as productive as the middle eastern types that i prefer, and I was surprised at the bitter flavor at the stem end when eating them like an apple - out of hand.
