I was happily surprised how well this variety did last summer. I could not find seed, but did find a transplant at my local independant nursery. I don\\\'t normally have such healthy vines and heavy vields from cucumbers, since I live near the coast. I will grow this variety again. The two other varieties I grew right next to Diva were generally bitter and covered in PM disease, as my cucumbers often are.

One of the best tasting slicers available. I cannot understand how it is listed as being not attractive to cuke beetles however. BW takes down my plants each year without fail. Its a parthenocarpic variety so I\'m going to try growing completely under row covers this season and see how it does without trellising.

I planted Diva because of its mildew resistance but had a total wipeout by other leaf diseases that I\'ll call \"brown spot.\" As a result, I had zero cukes to taste and zero yield.

First grown in 2010. Started indoors in expanded peat pellets, then transplanted outside and grew trellised. Plants grew well, latest variety to start bearing, lasted as long as the others I grew but did not bear as heavy. Cucumber beetles chewed on some fruits, but plants didn\'t succumb to wilt.

Somewhat uneven results...some years I get a bumper crop, some years just so-so. However, the taste keeps me coming back! There is no better tasting cuke! And, they pickle pretty well, too.

There is without exception no better tasting cucumber around. Although this isn't a true climber it's a must to have in your garden so save some space. Diva has a wonderful flavor, it's crisp, has a small seed cavity and needs no peeling. I guaranteed this is a variety you will like. Note: Cucumbers (Squash, Melons etc.) should be planted in a well composted or manured soil covered with black plastic or landscape cloth. Fertilize when the plants fall over or when the runners appear and again when the young cukes reach a few inches and again when picking begins. Rotate plantings every year to avoid disease and insect problems.

I planted this twice (in north Florida) and had to replant both times in order to get enough germination (bad batch of seeds?). One year it produced very few cucumbers, but another variety produced quite well. The other year, it produced a fairly good crop but not as good a crop as two other varieties. The taste was excellent, but I don't think I'll plant it again because of the difficulty of getting a good crop.

Robust healthy plants which scrambled (rather than climbed). All was well until the mosaic hit. But actually, they are still bearing even though much of the foliage is dead.

Very good tasting cuke. It actually took awhile to get going for me. Sweet success I planted ten days later started producing ahead of it. It stalled after a couple of weeks producing well but I hit it with more fertilizer and it picked up again. I'm averaging twentythree cukes per plant right now and still picking. One of the best for me. I rate it right up there with sweet success. I can't rate it higher on yield until the season has ended.

Sorry to rate this so low, but it also wouldn't climb for me although it grew in every direction and outgrew it's space in clay/loam with compost and organic fertilizer worked into the bed before planting. I saw striped cucumber beetles on it and soon after, some of the leaves were disintegrating. I had a bad case of earwigs every night munching on the foliage. I did get cukes, but they were not straight, and not dark green the way I like them. They were a sick looking yellowish green. I pulled the plants early.

I liked the taste, smooth skin and all, they didn't seem to climb well up a trellis, with my help. They seem to slowly die off on me after abit. Water, fertilizer, and soiless meduim weren't the issue at all, they didn't wanna bear fruit alot for me. Too bad, for me, cause I'd think it coulda gone over well alot more at market.

Twenty-five All-America Selections trial judges chose Diva as a 2002 AAS winner. Beit Alpha cucumbers are far tastier than the usual Dutch hybrids and while DIVA is a hybrid it comes close to the wonderful heirloom Beit Alpha type cucumbers sold along dusty Arab roads as refreshment.

I've grown Diva for two years now. Of the fruits that actually GREW to maturity, there are no complaints: They were tastier by far than "regular" cukes. I'm going to try them again, for as gardeners know, there can be a huge difference from one year to the next.

Best tasting slicer and pickler I've ever had. Ripened for me in flushes, good for pickling. One strange habit is they wouldn't climb a trellis for me, they would only sprawl.

A great variety. The Mediterranean cukes are much better than standard American types.
