Really beautiful variety! Looks just like a lemon and is perfect for snacking! It tastes great dipped in soy sauce. Slightly susceptible to disease, but overall grows nicely and produces well, but does not yield as much as the marketmore variety. |

Direct seeded this variety in mid-June 2012 after failure of another seedling variety. Very vigorous growth (topped 3 ft trellis in 1.5 months), began harvesting soon thereafter until frost. Wife\'s favorite for snacking, unique look, little bothered by cucumber beetles. |

late maturing i think i\'ve seen the best yealds in dry years, some years they do good, some years not, humidity and moisture can create disease problems, one weak i harvested about a hundred lbs of fruit a little bigger than a golf ball off 100 plants, the smaller the better. one of the best cucs. |

The lemon cucumber gave a great yield; I didn't care for the taste that much though. |

I loved this variety. It covered a 5 x 6 foot trellis I had with only 4 vines. I had over a hundred cucumbers also, and it's still going strong at the end of Sept. in southern Maine. It even survived thru a bad case of powdery mildew. It tastes like your standard cucumber, and it's is not necessary to peel, just eat! |

If you are looking for a late-maturing variety this one will fill the bill. The cukes taste great and are very crunchy. Vines are very long. |

My 2009 crop was a complete failure due to the plants dying from powdery mildew when the vines were about 8 inches long. Other cucumber varieties were not affected. |

Beautiful Cucumber!
Did not produce many blossums, however I started late to plant. A true little survivor though, considering what it was put through: root bound small pot for the first part of it's life.
I got 2 cuc's this season. Fast grower.

This is my wife's and my favorite vegetable. They are crisp like an apple, and mild in flavor. Not bitter at all. I planted 2 hills. One with 4 plants and the other with 6 or 7 plants. The hill with fewer plants outproduced the hill with more plants. It might have something to do with the vines getting so crowded that the bees can't get in to pollenate. These cukes shrivel quickly once picked, so pick and eat them the same day. |

Always dependable, heavy yielders. 12-15 ft vines. Likes our high acid sandy clay soil, unlike most cucumbers. Vigorous enough to withstand disease, bugs, and slugs. Always sweet, never bitter. Fully mature fruits can be dried and given to little kids to play with as a very durable & squeezable orange foam-like ball. |

I have raised these for years. Fine mild flavor, heavy yields even under stressful conditions. Size is nice if only one or two people are around to eat them. As some one mentioned above they do not keep well once picked, so use them quickly. Good crop in 2007. |

I've grown these for several years. In 2007 they succumbed to wilt. In previous years they have grown rampantly and produced prolifically. I like the size - there's only 2 of us. I like the mild flavor. |

This variety has seeds which sprout easy and the plants do very well in heat. I have grown this Lemon 2 years now and this year my 2 plants produced a peck of cukes. They are not a huge in about tennis ball size and you do not want them to mature as their few seeds are too chewy, but before turning yellow they are a delicious flavor. They will not keep for a long time once picked. In saving seeds, I let them get mushy and scoop the pulp out and rinse it in a sieve under a hose. If you can not eat cukes from allergies, this one might be one you can digest. It is a very nice variety. |

Wonderfully refreshing and easy-to-grow cucumber. For best flavor pick when they are a "mellow yellow"; once the color turns to dark yellow the rind becomes a bit thick but yet still have a tasty (albeit a bit more tangy) flavor. |

They definitely don't have a big cucumber taste, but are so easy to slice, salt and eat with no need to peel. They are beautiful to look at; prettiest when they have gotten too seedy to eat. They were easy to grow, easy to find and harvest. We enjoyed them especially as fresh table pickles (sliced into a bowl of vinegar, water, sugar, salt and spices). I will be growing these year after year. |

This is a favorite. Easy to grow, heavy yield, crispy and mellow. Pick when yellow, before they turn gold, for best flavor. Great performer in our cool, northwest summers. |

These are a very good variety to grow with an earlier green type. They bear a bit later in the season but then really do bear! Pick before the little spines turn dark for best results. Can handle the heat of late summer better than the green varieties. Overall 4 just because they are small and unusual looking. |

Lemon cucumbers always draw attention at the farmers market because often people think they are actually lemons. We have grown them for quite a few years because of the novelty. They need to be picked regularly as they get big in a hurry. The taste is mild and much like a burpless cucumber. They look nice on a vegetable platter or salad. |
