Germination was spotty. What did grow was eaten by critters.

These are toy carrots--really small and cute, but not great to eat. Germinated well on the first seeding and grew slowly.

Grew these in two different spots because I wanted to test wether they would do well in clay soil as claimed. The ones in raised beds took three tries to germinate and eventually grew but really slowly. The ones I seeded into the clay soil germinated really well, grew quickly and were a good size. Taste was good.

Slow to germinate, but then grew well, but slowly. We picked and tasted them at svarious statges of growth. Some were sweet and juicy, but most were woody - even the smaller ones.

We had great germination and yields on these carrots. Best eaten small as they tended to crack and get a bit coarse if left in the ground too long. The kids loved them at the elementary school garden site.

Planted seeds on 5/8. 6/5: Plants are 1-2" high, healthy. Thinned on 6/12. 7/17: picked 3 small carrots, "pungent", not sweet, good crispy texture. Harvested through 8/10. 8/24: 2 plants remain, are healthy-looking. Total yield to date: 0.8 lb. This is not our final evaluation. Final entry 11/24: relatively tasteless.

Not too impressed with this variety. I like the traditional size carrot.

Very easy to grow and nice rounded shape. Harvested early June through late July and at all times root was dry and not flavorful.
