These are great 'green chiles'. Excellent for chile rellenos, and roasted green chile. However I let some dry and they were really good red chiles too. They are medium hot (for a NM type - which is not that hot). They dried without molding right along other varieties that were ruined by mold. They are thick walled too so this is surprising. Also, these are not 85 day peppers - or maybe they are to extremely ripe red chiles - and then dried a bit. They were pretty early for me - I had large green chiles in about 65 days. Very productive if you keep them picked. The 'Heritage' comes from recent work to bring back flavor into green chiles that people remember through re-selection and finding old seed sources. These are OP. They've done it! I've probably grown about 20 NM types and this is the best.
