Out of all the tomato varieties I grew in the summer of 2018, the Damsel was the most productive. There was no evidence of disease. Delicious flavor with a nice balance of sweet and acid. Long Island weather in the summer was a big challenge with extremes of heat and flooding.

We found this tomato to show signs of strong growth with what began with a high yield. However, most of the fruit cracked before ripening and many fell off the plant prematurely. The few that did ripen were more meaty than tasty.

Plants grew well and it looked like we would have a high yield. However, many tomatoes dropped to the ground before they were ripe. Some ripened and were mushy. Others ripened just fine. They had mediocre taste, according to several of us taste-testers. Overall, disappointed.

Damsel has been a reliable plant with little disease problems, even when Late Blight killed other varieties in my garden. Flavor is very good. Skin is pink. A medium sized beefsteak type. Although a smaller indeterminate plant, it still requires a tall solid support.

The \'Damsel\' grew nicely for us. Produced so well we were able to share with staff and volunteers who all gave it high marks on taste and usage.

Strong seedlings started indoors and transplanted in late May. Yield of fruit was low and late in ripening. Tomatoes were up to 3" across with dense, tasty flesh.

An indeterminate plant that stayed reasonably small and showed good disease resistance. Fruits were 6 to 9 ounces with bland flavor and slightly soft texture

I would not call this variety compact! Huge plants, very prolific. Cracking is a problem. Beautiful shade of pink and quite tasty. Critters think so too.

Plants took off but the fruit cracked. We had heavy rains that may have been a factor.
