Description: Abelmoschus esculentus. Hybrid. Red okra. Bright red fruits are both ornamental and edible. Long, 4 to 5 inch fruits are round, not ribbed, and produced in abundance on 24 inch plants. Can be used in ornamental arrangements. Dry seed can be used as a coffee substitute (with no caffeine). About 60 days to maturity. 2017 All American Selection.

This AAS selection is the best red okra that that I have grown. It is a velvet type and holds its quality well. More tender , tasty and prolific than its sister Carmine Splendor
