A nice very compact lettuce which we cut and came back. It wasn\'t super crunchy but went well on tomato sandwiches. It bolted in September. This would do well in a container or bowl.

Eaten by woodchucks. The seeds germinated well though and the small lettuce was very attractive.

Grew well, dependable. We had a good harvest, cut it back and it grew for a second harvest before it bolted late. Not as crisp as some lettuces, but tasted mild and good.

We planted the Flashy Troutback Lettuce in late August. The youth planted the seeds close together. It grew just fine once temperatures cooled down. We harvested the lettuce it in early October. We would definitely plant this variety again!

Plants grew well. Thinned and tasted in late June: sort of bland and not crisp. Then deer (or possibly rabbits) ate the tops of the plants. By the beginning of August the plants had bolted and were very bitter. Pretty, though.

Produces beautiful heads if not crowded. Mottled look not as pretty as some other varieties but very tasty, easy to grow, would recommend.
