Good vigorous growth even though it got a late start. No evidence of disease (no downy mildew), though some insect damage on a few leaves. Traditional Genovese texture, scent and flavor with better disease resistance and endurance.

We had a difficult year between extreme heat and lack of precipitation combined with COVID restrictions, the garden did not get the attention it normally would. Most of our Basil seed did not germinate (I sowed twice, 5/27 and again 6/10) - I think the soil was too hot. We did get one Prospera plant which was large and very full.

Amazing basil variety, grew really well, looked like small bushes (pruned/harvested regularly) and the frost got to it before downy mildew did. Very impressive, would highly recommend.

The basil grew well even though we experience hot & dry growing conditions this season. The plants were watered with drip irrigation. The basil grew upright and full.

Deadheading kept this basil bushy and productive through October. Leaves still tasty at end of season.

Nice big plants. After the first harvest far down the stem, the growth that came back was very slow to flower, which is a good trait. Second harvest even better than first. Nice flavor. No downy mildew.

Prospera Premium F1 basil did not germinate at all for us either when direct seeded or seeded in flats for transplant.
