Staff favorite. Very tender, sweet and productive bean. It is tasty even raw. Not tough or stringy even when picked past its prime. Still productive in September.

The flavor of Lewis bush bean was quite sweet and delicious. The beans were a tiny bit tough when eaten raw but probably would be perfect after a little cooking. The plants grew well and were fairly compact.
