Small, crisp heads held late into the summer. I did get them in late as I direct sowed and nothing germinated so I tried again with transplants and those took well. I was impressed with how long they heads held before bolting despite the record heat this summer. Would highly recommend.

The Jara Lettuce grew slowly during the hot, dry summer days. Once cooler days arrived it grew quite well. Harvested in September, the leaves were tasty! It did show some upright growth, but did not have the bolting past harvest taste. Definitely would grow again!

Good flavor and withstood the early summer heat fairly well. Small heads in a dry year.

I had to start these seeds in pots in April because I couldn\'t access the garden until late May at which time I transplanted the seedlings. The transplant grew inlo strong plants. They are a short, upright Romaine type lettuce. The leaves are thick, crunchy and tasty. It bolted in the middle of July when temperatures reached upper 80\'s.
