This is one of the worst-tasting peas I ever had. Not sweet. Super starchy. The plants grew perfectly and were still green after all other varieties had faded. I read on Garden\\\'s Alive that they recommend picking this variety early, before the pods fill completely. I found this to be true, peas of PLS595 are sweeter and more tender if picked around 3/4 of the mature size. However, I don\\\'t want to have to pay that much detail (feeling each pod to see the peas are forming but not too big) while picking. Usually, or at least with other varieties, when the pods start to fill out, the peas are ready and will taste sweet. PLS595 is roughly as sweet as a rehydrated field pea. I don\\\'t intend to harvest a crop with the seeds I have left. The best use for PLS595 may be as a plow-down green manure crop. I gave this variety a shot three years; each time, the plants grew perfect but its flavor let me down big time. |

Extremely spotty germination. Plants needed to be trellised for best results. Low yield overall. Flavor was okay. |

The peas did well. This was a shelling pea and it had a lot of peas per pod just as advertised. It was not very sweet, however. It also needed some support once the plants reached maturity. If someone is looking for a productive pea that is not very tall, this could be a good choice, but if you are looking for a sweet pea, the recommendation would be to go with a snap pea.instead. |

Peas germinated and grew well but chipmunks got to them first, before peas were fully formed so can\\\\\\\'t comment on taste. Would trellis to keep them from flopping over. |

Low yield but beautiful plants. Peas were not sweet enough for the trouble. |

This variety did not perform well. Small yield, poor flavor, and spotty germination. |

Short plants intertwined with each other, but still flopped over. Two 3-foot rows yielded enough peas for 2 servings. Pease held well when not harvested immediately. |

Planted 3/25/21 and harvested 6/29/21.Very convenient height of one foot so no trellising needed. Great for a small garden. Many pods per plant. Each pod had about 7 peas. Peas had good flavor. |

Really good producer of excellent flavored peas. Long slender pods with 10 peas to the pod. Plants are stiff which helps them maintain an upright position. An afila type that I can heartily recommend. |
