Description: USER ENTERED : This tomato is a winner! It originated from Germany and I'm told the name means "Early love of Qued Linburg". What I know is that this is the earliest tomato of the many varieties I planted this year and among the tastiest. It has small (large cherry or a bit bigger) red fruit, potato leaf foliage. It has a very open growth pattern with space in between each of the branches and leaves, it does not have dense growth (a good thing). I was told that it originated in a cool, rainy coastal climate and was known for producing well under those conditions.. Again, what I know is that due to the growth habit, it is at lower risk for fungus. Mine is in a 6 foot tall cage, and untrained or pruned in any way. It is about 5 feet tall. It is loaded with tomatoes, way more tomatoes then what I thought it could produce based on the growth habit. The tomatoes are in clusters of four to 7 or 8 with 6 being the average. It is an extremely early variety. I was picking ripe tomatoes off of it about 3 weeks before any of my other early varieties. It is earlier (but smaller and way more tasty than Early Girl). I haven't had any problems with it and will grow it in future years. It is an heirloom open pollinated variety. I believe I obtained my seed from Totally Tomatoes, but don't remember for sure. A number of seed sources do offer it. Did I mention EARLY?

I did the initial description on this tomato and had it added to the database. I am writing this update on 10/12/2021. This is my number 2 all time favorite tomato. I am amazed at it. It started producing very early. I thought that it would slow down but it didn\'t. It had steady, consistent and constant production throughout the entire season. It tastes wonderful, I\'m not good at describing tastes, but it is not overly tart or tangy, has kind of a fruity taste to it. It has become my go-to for picking and eating right in the garden while I am working. I did have some splitting after a period of dryness followed by heavy rains, but much less then on my other tomato varieties. I initially thought because the foliage was not as thick as on my other tomato plants I would have less production, but that wasn\'t the case.I highly recommend this tomato for the pacific north west.
