Squash \'Hurakan F1\', we grew in straw bale. The plant produced a few fruit that were good and tasty. Later fruit seemed to grow and the end had some rot and it stopped growing.\r\n\r\nThe squash shelf live is good, stays frim when kept in a cool and dry place.

Direct sown in 2 garden locations. Germination was fine but plants grew poorly in both sites. Plants had several blooms early and quickly died off without showing any signs from diseases or insect damage. Plants never produced any fruit.

Nice compact plant. Powdery mildew set in mid-August, but after a few weeks the plant grew out of it and produced again! Flavor is good, but essential to harvest at around 6" to avoid over-maturity.

Very easy to grow from seeds sown in late May under row covers to deter squash vine borers. Removed covers in early July and harvested a moderate amount of very tasty squash in mid July and through August. The plants were attacked by squash vine borers in late August. Removed larvae, hilled up soil around stem. One plant out of two regrew to a healthy plant. As of mid-September, have flowers but no fruit.
