Description: The sweetest cucumber we have tasted, this Japanese variety is a perfect snacking cucumber with no bitter flavor! Produces shorter, slightly thicker fruit than other Japanese varieties. Can be grown on the ground or on poles and is vigorous. Deep green fruit is about 7-8 inches long. Adapted to high temperature, humidity, and is disease and powdery mildew resistant. Full Sun Sprouts in 7-14 Days Seed Depth: 1/2" Ideal Temperature: 70-90 F Plant Spacing: 18-36" Frost Hardy: No Cucumis sativus

Planted early June. Vining plants. Support added mid July. Nasturiums in bed. Plants succumbed to powdery mildew by early September. Cucumbers were rated “Fantastic” by one tester. Afternoon sun was recommended by Baker Creek, but in our climate, full sun all day might have been better.

Low germination outdoors, good germination indoors. Very slow to establish. Low producer. Crispy, good texture. Very mild/almost bland taste.

a relatively thinner skin cucumber with a very good taste. Mild, cucumber flavor, not overly seedy. The several we harvested were about 7 inches in length. Our first round of seedlings got eaten by something, so we got a late start and feel our yield was low for that reason. Was not bothered by insects like my cucumbers at home.
