We grew 3 plants and got 6 pumpkins over 100 pounds, and 4 over 50 pounds. While that may seem great they were hard to turn and flattened out, and the plants were HUGE. You have to have room. We grew them in full sun. We had some mildew later in the season. We didn't feed them at all but grew them in a place that had not been used for vegetables before. They need a lot of water for us southwest gardeners who are under water restrictions. But they are a lot of fun, once, and grow well here. San Diego, hot, dry, inland |

Excellent decorative pumpkin. Good eating (though the puree is VERY moist, and must be drained before baking into a pie). Good production: I got 1-2 top-sized pumpkins from each plant. Color starts out yellow, but ripens to a bright halloween orange. Not as badly bothered by Squash Vine Borers as other pumpkin varieties in the same garden. I will definitely plant this variety again! |
