Twenty percent of the crop weighed within the average weight range (15-25 lbs.). Average weight of the 30 pumpkins was almost 12 lbs. Most of the pumpkins had excellent shape, particularly the three largest pumpkins (22, 21 and 21 lbs.). We used some of the pumpkins to make pies for Thanksgiving. They were some of the best pumpkin pies we've ever eaten.

This is the classic American pumpkin, yielding fruits in an endless variety of sizes and shapes. Vines are vigorous and long. Use a drip hose if possible to avoid powdery mildew, or water only in the morning. Not your choice if you want REALLY huge or uniform pumpkins, but at 15-25 lbs, they're hefty enough for any jack'o'lantern or decorative use. A delightful crop!
