Best tasting pumpkin I have tried. I got 8 pumpkins from 3 hills. Very lovely to look at too. They were my first thing ready in the squash/pumpkin patch. I will definitely grow again. |

Took about 110 days to reach orange state and 130 to turn red, here in Seattle, which is a low summer heat area. I would expect somewhat quicker maturity in warmer climates. Plant seems a little less vigorous than more typical \"jack-o-lantern\" type pumpkins, but vines will still reach 10+feet in spread. The leaves are more rounded like many winter squash |

Surprizingly, Rouge Vif was the first pumpkin to set fruit among the 5 or 6 varieties I tried this past summer. Nice rich red color, reasonably good keeper, one of the best pumpkins in terms of eating quality, large vine, one 10 lb fruit per plant. My pumpkins were not as deeply grooved as the ones you see in pictures. |

Beautiful Pumpkins produced. Vary similar in size and shape. Did not use to bake with. |
