Really nice classic pie pumpkins. Great colour. I would also suggest the rouge vif d'etamps pumpkin for pies. I grew 2 or 3 hills and got 10 or 11 pumpkins.

These pumpkins don't like cool wet springs, but other than that are a favorite. They have terrific flavor for both sweet and savory dishes, are a convenient size, and cute to boot. I prefer to roast them.

Good pie pumpkin (though the flesh is rather moist ... I drain it after I puree it). Small size (suitable for a small pie without quarts of leftover pumpkin puree). Stores well.

We keep growing this one year after year as the taste for pies and cookies is excellent.

We had a nice crop of these little guys, though getting plants started was a bit of an issue with the cold, wet spring.
