Grew for several years from transplants in the spring so they would mature before hot weather. Planted 1-2 weeks before frost date. They matured in 40-45 days. Excellent size, texture and flavor.

I grew Esmeralda for the first time this year. I liked the color, but it grew slow. I only tried it this spring.
