Our family loves this lettuce for winter growing and eating. We grow it under a row-cover and, when it is very cold, add plastic over that and it has always done very well with frost damage occurring at the outer edges only. It seems to sweeten up as it gets colder also. I would reccomend this variety to anyone wanting to try winter gardening.
