We have yet to try this variety as a spring planting, but it does serve us well as a fall to winter planting. The leaves are extremely attractive and sell themselves to customers. Taste warms up in your mouth as you chew on it, sneaking up on you a bit. Can be considered to be rather strong by some. Gets very sweet when lightly cooked without losing the nice mustard flavor. You can seed them close and cut them for smaller leaves, or you can separate them as individual plants in a row for larger, more substantial leaves. Neither we, nor our customers, have noticed much difference in the taste based on the size of the leaf. Excellent germination, like most mustard. If you do a dense planting in spring, you should expect powdery mildew sooner.

Used in a Cornell Herbicide trial. Used transplants. did well and tasted well, despite all the rain.

like catalogs say, very hot, very mustardy. Prone to mildew. High yields. even as it bolts leaves don't change flavor, so if you like the taste, you can keep cutting till the mildew takes over in late summer/fall.
