This is an excellent Kabocha-type winter squash. Productive with medium-sized beautiful bright orange squash - matures well in my short-season climate. Taste is excellent with even the skins being edible and tender.. Stores into January.

Really low yield. Planted a dozen over 2 years and harvested 4 total squash. Had great results with other varieties.

Grew out 6 plants in wet 2010. 2nd best producer behind Sibley but ahead of Confection and Uncle David's. Taste is medium sweet/standard. Size in the 2 - 4 lb. range. Good "utility squash" that came through in wet season near the top. Uncle David's was the best tasting (sweetest)/Sibley was BY FAR the best producer.
