| These squash are beautiful - big, shiny, nearly black skin, with orange flesh. The seed cavity is small, so you get a lot of edible squash per fruit. Sometimes more than my wife and I could eat in one sitting. Our largest squash weighed 3 lbs! I got about 4 squash per vine. I would have had more, but a number of the fruit shriveled after reaching tennis-ball size. It's described as having a semi-bush habit. I think that means you get a bush which rolls like a semi over everything in its path. My vigorous vines traveled 6-9'. The only knock against this squash is the flavor, which was a bit lacking. With brown sugar and butter, it was still very tasty. Next year, I may try Tuffy or Jet, which supposedly has improved eating quality. |

| I was underwelmed with this squash. Only got two squash per plant (I'm willing to blame this partially on myself, I could have watered it more often during the dry spells). I also found the flavor to be bland. We had much better luck with Table King two years ago and I found Table King's flavor to be superior. |

| This variety is a good producer with a wide range of sizing, but an extremely pleasant flavor. Vines hold up well even under extreme drought stress. |
