Productive variety, more of a waxy type potato which I don't like as much so I rated the taste lower. I understand this is an heirloom variety once part in the caribbean-new england trade somehow, hence the name. It was hard to sell at the farmers market I grew vegetables for. It just doesn't look like potatoes people are used to with its purple blotched skin. It is actually quite beautiful though. Definitely worth growing if you like waxy boiling potatoes.
