| This is the industry standard for a mid-to-full season, red-skinned, white-fleshed variety. It is a well-regarded red-skinned, white-fleshed variety developed in 1966 by USDA and Iowa State Univ., Ames. It is sometimes misspelled Chieftan. |

| A nice red potato although I prefer the skin color on Red Norland better, good taste average yields. |
