This cultivar is medium late. It is a tough resilient cultivar that will tolerate heat and lack of water better than its competitors. Burgess use to sell it as the drought proof pea. It main claim to fame is its ability to produce under adverse conditions. Taste is mediocre.

I have grown this variety in several locations across the great plains and it is the only one that consistantly performs. Flavor is not spectacular, but better than no crop.
