| I grew a small plot of this variety last summer--it produced reasonably well for an heirloom, with about 1.5-2 ears per stalk. The cobs were pretty well-filled out, though I pollinated it myself. The flavor compared very well with store-bought sweet corn. |

| Before the hybrids, this was the sweet corn of choice for corn on the cob. It is still the best open pollinated corn, but time has passed it by. |
