I think this OP variety was bred for southern gardens, so possibly my NJ garden isn't the best site for them. I've grown this from seed a few times and it hasn't wowed me. Some years, ripening was blotchy and not consistent. When I did get a good ripe one, taste was fine, but nothing great given everything else.
